About Ira Tau
Coaching by a Leader Who’s Been There
I began my career as a hands-on developer, building software and solving technical problems as part of web engineering teams. Over time, I advanced through senior engineering roles, team leadership, and eventually into executive management at the CTO level.
That full progression, from individual contributor to executive, gives me a uniquely well-rounded perspective on the leadership challenges my clients face as they advance in their own careers.
For over 30 years, I’ve led teams, scaled platforms, and delivered on digital projects across traditional and social media, lifestyle content, live events, SaaS, finance, and e-commerce. Along the way, I learned that the toughest challenges weren’t technical — they were human: influencing across teams, managing ambiguity, communicating clearly, actively listening, and leading through shifting priorities and change.
That realization led me to executive coaching in 2018.
