Coaching for leaders to grow with clarity, confidence, and impact

Whether someone is stepping into a new role, leading a team, or looking to strengthen their presence, coaching provides the space and structure to grow with intention.

Why does Coaching matter now?

Technical and product professionals are facing a new set of expectations. It’s no longer just about delivering results. It’s about leading with clarity, communicating across functions, and adapting in a landscape where the explosive rise of AI is transforming how teams function and how leaders lead.

Coaching supports this evolution. It helps individuals develop the leadership skills that aren’t always part of the job description: emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, executive presence, effective communication, and the ability to influence effectively.

Hi and welcome! I’m Ira Tau, an executive coach certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF-PCC) and Columbia University in New York City. Before stepping into coaching, I spent over 30 years in the world of Computer and Information Technology, leading teams and navigating challenges in both startups and Fortune 500 companies.

I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to thrive in fast-moving, high-stakes environments—and I bring that experience into every coaching conversation. If you're facing a tough decision, stepping into a bigger role, or just feeling stuck, chances are I’ve been there too.

As your coach, I’ll be your thinking partner, helping you gain clarity, build confidence, and move forward with purpose.

Who Should Work with a Coach?

Coaching is especially valuable for professionals navigating growth and complexity in fast-moving environments. It helps leaders meet today’s demands with greater confidence, adaptability, and purpose. No matter where you are in your career, coaching provides the support and structure to elevate how you lead, communicate, and show up as an authentic and thoughtful professional.

Coaching can help you…

  • For emerging technical and product leaders

You’ve built your skills and are stepping into leadership; now it’s time to lead with confidence. Coaching supports new leaders in transitioning from individual contribution to strategic impact. It helps with evaluating goals, sharpening communication, and developing the mindset required to inspire teams, manage stakeholders, and grow sustainably in high-pressure environments.

  • For experienced managers

You’re already managing people and projects, but you’re ready to lead at a higher level. Coaching helps experienced managers enhance their executive presence, expand their influence across the organization, and shift from operational execution to strategic thinking. It’s about increasing your effectiveness and readiness for what’s next, giving and receiving feedback, and consistently exercising growth mindset.

  • For people and business leaders

Your focus is on building high-performing, resilient teams and keeping them engaged through change. Coaching helps you lead with empathy and clarity, manage complexity across functions, and elevate the culture and performance of your organization. It’s especially useful for HR, team leads, and general managers navigating rapid growth or organizational shifts.

  • For contributors seeking greater impact

You may not have “leader” in your title, but you’re ready to grow your influence. Coaching supports individuals who want to communicate more effectively, improve visibility, navigate organizational dynamics, or take ownership of their career growth. If you’re looking to build credibility and position yourself for the next step in your career, coaching can help you get there.

  • Though my background is in technology and product leadership, coaching isn’t limited to those fields. I’ve supported clients across industries, including healthcare, insurance, analytics, consumer products, the nonprofit sector and more. Whether you're facing a career transition, leadership challenge, or communication hurdle, coaching can provide clarity and momentum. And if technology feels like a barrier, I offer a supportive, judgment-free space to build confidence. You don’t need to be in tech to benefit. You just need to be motivated and willing to learn and grow.

What about using an AI Coach?

Coaching offers what AI can’t: a trusted thinking partner who brings presence, perspective, and deep listening to the moments that matter. As a PCC-level coach with decades of experience in technical leadership and product strategy, I don’t just ask questions. I help you gain clarity, navigate complexity, and grow with intention.

For engineering and product professionals, as well as all leaders, effective communication isn’t just about being clear. It’s about reading the room, understanding context, and showing up with executive presence. Whether you’re aligning with stakeholders, managing across teams, or developing your direct reports, coaching helps you adapt your style and lead with greater impact.

AI tools are useful for tasks like generating ideas, organizing thoughts, or prepping for conversations. But they lack the insight, accountability, and human nuance that create real change. They won’t challenge your blind spots or help you develop as a leader in the real world.

Coaching, by contrast, meets you in the complexity. It provides a trained, experienced partner who helps you move from insight to impact through presence, trust, and a relationship that evolves with you.

When we work together, you’re not just getting coaching. You’re gaining a strategic ally who understands your world and knows how to help you lead effectively within it.
